The 2007 AAVA Annual Meeting was held on August 10 and 11 at the University of Prince Edward Island. The hosts were Susan Dawson, Balaji Ramanathan and David Sims.
Attendance varied between 10 and 15; representatives of 6 veterinary colleges attended, and were joined for the business meeting by colleagues at Kansas State (Judy Klimek) and Washington State (Leslie Sprunger) via web-based videoconference. Highlights of the meeting included a fascinating discussion on the diversity of form and function of fishes by Howard Evans, excellent graduate student presentations of research, and discussions of teaching methods and experiences. Newly elected to the AAVA executive are Leslie Sprunger (Membership Secretary and Treasurer), Balaji Ramanathan (Corresponding Secretary), and David Sims (President-Elect).
